A new partnership between the Learned Society of Wales and The Williamson Trust will offer three grants of up to £10,000 each for projects that create content for audiences in Wales and beyond which is innovative, engaging, and trustworthy.

The content must be based on research and evidence and aligned with the themes of a healthier Wales, healthier people, or a healthier planet.

There is a huge scope for how the content can be presented, with anything from TikTok to a festival performance, and everything in between.

“Here at the Williamson Trust, we understand that knowledge empowers people to improve their lives, through fostering healthy environments and communities, and improving access to healthy foods,” said Professor David Salt Chair of Trustees.

“With this Trusted Voices programme, we aim to build strong and lasting networks between knowledge-producers and the people and communities that deliver this needed change.

“The Williamson Trust is excited to be partnering with the Learned Society of Wales to offer this new grant scheme, and we look forward to building a cohort of trusted voices to join in the work of making our world a better place to live.

Shortlisted applicants will receive expert training that can offer either career support, as required, or assist with content development. They will also form a cohort of trusted voices for Wales, able to speak to the theme of ‘Healthy People, Healthy Planet’, which is the guiding principle of the Williamson Trust.
